Even though it's used to be an Asian restaurant (Chinese restaurant: menus available), skip those options and go try the Burmese dishes.

It's not a big place.  There were a few tables so get there early or have some patience while the patrons finish eating.

    We tried:
A Kyaw Sone - fried vegetable with tarmarind chili sauce.  It's spicy if you can't handle chili.
Nan Gyi Thok - thick rice noodles, hard boiled egg, onion, cilantro, crispy split chickpeas.
    Pork Grilled Shoulder
    Beef Curry
Gin Thoke - salad of pickled ginger, dried shrimp, crushed peanuts, fried garlic, sesame seeds.
Mixed Vegetables Thee Sone Curry -- root vegetables
Burmese Fish Noodle Soup (Mohinga) - rice noodles, Burmese fish soup, fried yellow pea, cilantro, onion, boiled egg.  This is alright though I had more flavorful ones.

Overall it was delicious.  They made sure our water glasses were full and checked in on us to make sure the food is good.

My friend advised me that some of the dishes are really traditional dishes and it's well made.  My one small issue is the Mohinga though wasn't as flavorful as previous ones that I had.  If you never had it, you should try it and make your own decision.

We inquired if we can bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal.  The restaurant accommodated us so if you want to bring a bottle of wine, you might want to check with them first.

    Enjoy.

I usually don't write review but I love Asian bowl. We don't have much Burmese restaurant in NY. When they do, they don't last and food become westernize.

Asian Bowl has a lot of Burmese dishes that's so good. My husband and some of my friends who are not from Burma love Nan Kyi Tote with no onion. Fish noodle soup, coconut noodle soup, KyeO are also a few of our favorite. My kids love KyeO soup. Their mix fries are so delicious with the spicy and sour sauce. Tea salad is the bomb! It's so good! They also have dessert drinks 'faluda'. Faluda comes with a scoop of icecream. It's like Malaysian dessert ABC ice but not ice slash it's more of drinks. They have only a few seat but more of take out place. The counter guy who takes your order is very nice and friendly. I really hope Asian Bowl last. I love going there whenever I want some Burmese dish!

My first time trying this place though I've seen it here for a while. The place itself is very small. More of a take away place for sure. There are some seats but maybe two tables and some counter seating.
The food is a blend of Asian food. Interesting combinations.
    The food was good though.
I'll have to try to it again to get a better opinion on it.

The Burmese place with a very generic name!

Far from an expert on Burmese food, I very much liked everything I tried, and was so glad to have one more place to try it, to build my expertise.

Especially a fan of my favorite coming in: the tea leaf salad.

I got takeout. They'd sorta labeled the food. The guy asked me/said to me, you know Burmese food, right? I verbally shrugged. He reluctantly sorta additionally labeled it. We sorta figured it out.

    Burmese food with good taste.
I tried many dishes here, almost everthing. Today I ate BBQ pork dish. The taste was good and presentation was amazing. I would recommend to try many different burmeses dishes as you can. You will love it.
